Grosse Ile - A great place to live or visit!
While still something of a secret, you will feel it as you cross the bridge:
Grosse Ile is the perfect place to live, raise a family, recreate, and relax in southeast Michigan.
A unique island community enveloped by the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge, Grosse Ile is historic, natural, and among the very safest places to live in Michigan.
However you measure success in providing for your family - whether the water-wonderland atmosphere, a charming neighborhood, excellent schools, public safety or community spirit - you will find it in Grosse Ile, Michigan!
Highlighting Grosse Ile and hosted by Ile native Shannon Murphy, "Show Us Your City - Grosse Ile" was produced as a feature video for the New York Times Travel Section.
Opportunity Grosse Ile, Grosse Ile's "Pictures in Motion" Video Services (headed by video pro Jim Lowlor) , and an all G.I. volunter crew teamed to produce this video, the first in a series promoting Grosse Ile and the "quality of life" that it's residents enjoy.
The all-G.I. volunteer production crew included Kathy Brockmiller, Kathy Lowlor, Tom and Chrisy Dudash, Ron Baker, Barry Van Engelen and volunteer pilot "Rod" Lowlor. We had a lot of fun working together on this project!.
