Proceeds support Grosse Ile's new Welcome Home! Center Opening mid February, 2010
An Enchanted Evening was the first of several special events which are planned for 2010.
Toward the end of February look for the official opening of Grosse Ile’s new Welcome Home! Center on Macomb Street. Opportunity Grosse Ile is asking its memebers, as well as soon-to-be-members, to not only visit the Center but to also volunteer to help us welcome others to Grosse Ile… both those who are discovering Grosse Ile for the first time and those for whom their next visit is a reprise or a “kindling” of formerly dormant memories of Grosse Ile.
A special thank you goes to our An Enchanted Evening major sponsors, for without their assistance this inaugural event would not have taken place:
The Grosse Ile Pilot House
The Grosse Ile Bridge Company
B & B Custom Builders
S.L.A.T.S. Enterprises, Inc.
The Enchanted Evening committee — Ann Loftus, Susie Harrison, Shirley Mohney and Chad Novak — worked diligently over the past few weeks to bring together a taste of Grosse Ile plus prepare for An Enchanted Evening. Together, along with GI businesses and restaurants, An Enchanted Evening truly celebrated all that contributes to our beautiful, unique island home.
Please join Opportunity Grosse Ile! Visit the Welcome Home! Center on Macomb St. and subscribe to our newsletter. Watch for more information about future OPPGI events, among them, Amelia Earhart Days and The Ball Nautique.
