It was Family Fun at the Macomb Street Commons
July 30, 2010
Nearly 60 Little Pirates and their pirate mates, moms and dads, gathered at the Macomb Street Commons for the first official Little Pirates' Parade, Friday July 30. First, they crafted pirate hats and then paraded to the Welcome Home! Center parking lot on Macomb St. There they all downed pirates' grub... ice cream.
Each Little Pirate received a "booty" bag filled with golden coins and a telescope – made for spying upon unsuspecting brothers and sisters later that night. The costumes
were fun and, well, very cool in a pirate sort of way. Now, this is real Island Living!
