Over 1,000 customers visited this “whimsical showcase of classic and new” during its first week of operation, taking home beautiful, upscale and trendy merchandise ranging from intriguing paintings and upscale band name clothing to delectable gourmet foods made in the USA.
“I’ve visited many really neat boutiques throughout the United States, Asia and Europe,” said one recent customer. “Many tend to sell similar or the same merchandise. Times Square offers a great range of unique items — combined with fun displays and décor. It’s just a wonderfully fun shopping experience and a breath of fresh air for Grosse Ile shoppers.”

A collection of many department store bags has been assembled to enhance the Boutique's theme to recycle and think green. April, the resident artist, painted the trees on the wall that blossom newsprint leaves. Upon completing shopping, customers leave with their treasures in a random array of recycled department store bags. A fun tradition has been born. Many customers are having fun bringing in their collection of bags to support their recycle theme. And, for that special gift, customers are charmed with a fabulous selection of gift wrapping.
As a special feature upon purchasing merchandise, any customer may be the random lucky one to receive 15% off a next purchase.
“You know, seriously, it’s taken all three of our creative juices combined,” said April de Cardenas, “to identify and acquire our merchandise offerings… not to mention the talented outstanding local artists who have added to our creations of unique pieces. It’s a continuing challenge, but each and every day we are delighted with the results.”
